6CD Democratic Convention

May 18, 2024 – Rockbridge High School Lexington, VA

Pursuant to the authority provided by the Virginia Democratic Party Plan (“Party Plan”) and the 2024 Call to the Democratic Party of Virginia State Convention, the Sixth Congressional District Convention will convene at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Rockbridge County High School, 143 Greenhouse Road, Lexington, VA 24450.

The purpose of the Sixth Congressional District Convention shall be:
A. To select FOUR (4) Delegates, TWO (2) Female and TWO (2) Male, to the 2024 Democratic National Convention; (details in Section 8)

B. To select a presidential elector representing the Sixth Congressional District in the 2024 general presidential election; (details in Section 9)
C. To consider resolutions; (details in Section 10)
D. To conduct such other business as may properly come before the Convention

Ken Mitchell for Congress

Ken Mitchell served twenty-four years in the military, including six years at the White House under both political parties. He worked for large telecom corporations before starting his own construction company. He oversaw infrastructure renovations at Monticello. He helped upgrade local water systems in the 6th District. Ken moved to Rockingham County, where he and his fiance, Michele Thomas, are developing a small farm. He is ready to bring principled leadership and pragmatic problem-solving to Congress.
